The curve of COVID-19 infections was effectively flattened in western European countries. According to Johns Hopkins University numbers, flattening is very visible in Germany and France, where a total of approximately 200,000 cases were recorded each, as well as in Italy (245,000 cases) and Spain 253,000 cases.
