Indians were most likely to inspect a country of origin label for food, but also for phones and cars, according to a survey by YouGov – all options with a good variety of products made locally and/or by local brands. Fewer Indians go by the origin name when it comes to alcoholic beverages, perhaps representing a consumer segment with weaker home-grown choices and labels.
