A common pastime appears to be returning in the U.S., proliferated by the COVID-19 pandemic. A recent study from a financial data firm reveals how investing in the stock market is America 's favorite way to engage in long-term investments. In a recent survey from Bankrate, 28 percent of U.S. adults say they choose to invest in the stock market for money they don't plan on investing for the next 10 years.
Coming closely behind at 26 percent is real estate investments. Modern cash, savings accounts and certificates of deposit yielded only 18 percent in the study, while precious metals were 14 percent.
