Engineers are our modern-day inventors, designers, researchers and builders. They are designing the computers, devices , and systems that we use every day. The limits of physics, the boundaries of modern age production technology, the restrictions imposed by existing material properties, health and safety standards and costs: all these are things that engineers must consider when designing whatever they are working on.
Thankfully, engineers are qualified to recognize and solve these problems; but in order to recognize and solve them, engineers need to have a very specific set of skills, skills learned over a long career, skills that make engineers a nightmare for whatever these issues may throw at them.
