While birth rates in developed countries have slowed dramatically, United Nations ( UN) projections suggest that by 2050 the world's population will exceed 9.7 billion people. What's more, underdeveloped and emerging countries will undergo a lot of growth. Such countries lack the infrastructure to cope with rapid population growth, so they need transport, water , waste management, and construction skills staff.
