Well and truly, the emergence of computers has begun. Data from the International Federation of Robotics shows that with 74 deployed industrial robots per 10,000 employees globally in 2016, the speed of industrial automation is accelerating across most of the developed world. That has risen to 113 across the manufacturing sector by 2020.
Asia currently has a robot density of 118 units per 10,000 employees and in Europe and the Americas, respectively, the number is 114 and 103. China is one of the countries with the highest growth rates in industrial automation, but South Korea has no robot density at all.
