In recent months air quality standards have received a great deal of attention. Many areas recorded a marked rise in air quality in the aftermath of the COVID-19 lockdowns. Wildfires spread through the Pacific Northwest and California on the flipside, later in the summer, blanketing whole areas with a dense shroud of smoke covering hundreds of miles.
