One of the most significant historical inventions is the camera. We wouldn't have been able to keep our memories or view the world from various angles without it. In 1826, a guy by the name of Joseph Nicéphore Niépce created it. The first permanent image, titled "View from the Window at Le Gras," was made with a camera obscura. In a dark space called a camera obscura, light enters via a hole and casts an image of the outside world onto a surface inside the chamber. Over time, the photographic camera has changed, progressing from early types that needed the user to manually focus the lens to more modern models that anyone can operate.
Have you ever wished you could revisit some of the earliest photographs? Would they have the same appearance as they do now? We'll look at the development of photography throughout history in this post.
