 Stephen Covey is the author of the best-selling book The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. Since its 1989 debut, it has been translated into 38 different languages and has sold over 15 million copies. A 2004 study by USA Today and Gallup placed it at the top of the list of the 100 best spiritual books of the 20th century. A self-help book called Seven Habits of Highly Effective People teaches readers how to "live with an eternal perspective" and provides them with seven strategies for making positive changes in their lives.

Many of us struggle with the objective of productivity; we want to be more productive but don't know how. The good news is that increasing productivity and simplifying your life don't require much. Developing good habits may boost productivity and simplify life. They happen automatically and don't need your help. Additionally, they train your body to perform tasks that will save you time so you can concentrate on other things. For instance, if you make it a habit of getting out of bed in the morning, walking over to the coffee maker, and making yourself some coffee instead of being groggy, your body will become accustomed to it and will, through a process known as habituation, automatically crave coffee when it's time to go to bed again at night. 

However, habits may also be quickly disrupted; if a person makes a single or two little mistakes, they may find themselves starting over while attempting to form a new habit. Because of this, consistency is crucial for creating new behaviors. We humans had little option but to create behavioural patterns that were ultimately entrenched in us via repetition and became what we refer to as "habits" in order for us to not only survive but prosper throughout our lives.

The key lesson to be learned from this is the value of developing productive habits. These behaviours might be as basic as getting adequate sleep and taking breaks or as complex as planning your day and creating objectives. In the end, they all make you a more effective person!
